The MediPet Accident Plan is a basic, budget-friendly pet insurance option if you are looking for accident-only cover or have an older pet.

Terms and conditions :

 

• Waiting periods: None All treatment expenses must be incurred following the acceptance of your coverage by both parties. Coverage will commence from the date of acceptance by both parties.
• Excess: 15%, with a minimum of R150 per claim. The pet must be examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours of the occurrence of the accident.

🐶 Click submit and check your email for your claim submission confirmation.

Option 2: Direct Vet Payment

 

• Complete all the steps in option 1 above.
• Don’t forget to select the “Please make payment of this claim refund directly to my vet” box on the online claim form.

 

Option 3: Want Peace Of Mind? Request Pre-Approval For An Upcoming Treatment.

 

• We will require a detailed cost estimate.
• Send this to [email protected]
• We may request a history from your vet or any other vet who may have treated your pet.
• This pre-approval process may take up to 48 hours (if required over a weekend, it will take longer) and will be granted in writing.

 

Option 4: Pre-Payments For Smooth Sailing

 

Follow the steps in option 3 above for pre-approval.

 

• Once approved, we will log the claim, mark it as urgent, and the payment will be processed within 4 working days.
   
• The payment, less the excess, will be made directly to your vet, not you (the member).
• You will need to pay the vet for the applicable excess directly.
• After the procedure, you or your vet will need to submit the final invoice to [email protected]
• We will compare the final costs with the initial pre-approved payment and make any necessary adjustments.
• If adjustments are required, we will either request a refund from your vet or the insurer will process an additional payment, if needed.
